- 1 (16 ounce) package sausage (I usually buy the store brand ground sausage as its often cheapest. Jimmy Deans Sage flavor is a good one too). (I usually buy the store brand ground sausage as its often cheapest. Jimmy Deans Sage flavor is a good one too.)
- 2 potatoes (Chopped into bite size cubes, I save time and leave the skins on, but you could peel them first too)
- 1 yellow onion (small, chopped)
- 6 slices bacon (chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced, you can use less, we love garlic)
- 1 head kale (– washed, dried, and chopped, about the same size pieces you would make a salad out of)
- 6 cups chicken stock (you can use canned or boullian, or homemade broth if you have that!)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream (you can substitute milk or half and half if you prefer – I use a little more when making a substitute)
- pepper
- salt
- rolls (Rhodes Texas, found in freezer section)
- garlic
- seasoning
- melted butter (or Olive Oil)

i added red pepper flake 2tbsp and used italian sausage links. pan fried em & cubed! extra garlic. 5c chicken stock, 2c cream and 2 c while milk. + a bag of baby carrots!
