- 6 large garlic cloves (crushed)

- 1 onion (small, about ¼ lb/125 g, thinly sliced)

Very flavorful. I used brown lentils. Didn’t have cumin seeds so just skipped it. Still has very bold flavor. Maybe a little salty and I like salt. Also added some yellow bell pepper because I was a little short on zucchini. When I cooked the lentils I used 3 cups of water instead of 4. That was perfect.

I thought it was really good but my husband and kids didn’t like it. Pretty easy to make but tastes like a lot of work went into it. I give it 4 stars but deducted a star because I’m the only one in my family who liked it.

This was such a DELICIOUS recipe! I am always looking for a new zucchini recipe and this definitely made the list..

i used chick peas as i dislike lentils.also added lots of red onion.very good.

Instead of lentils I used chickpeas and added a tiny bit of roasted pumpkin. It was delicious! Even my meat eater partner loved it!
