- 4 carrots (chopped)
- 4 celery stalks (chopped)
- 1 shallot (large, chopped)
- 5 cloves garlic (pressed)
- 14 oz. diced tomatoes
- 24 oz. tomato sauce (you can reduce to 14 oz if you like)
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 4 cups beef broth (I used 4 cups of water to 2 tablespoons Better Than Bouillon Veggie Base)
- salt
- pepper
- 2 Tbsp. dried oregano
- 2 Tbsp. dried basil
- 3 cups noodles (cooked, I like Farfalle but any would work)
- 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese (optional)

Yum! Definitely a winner! It has a little Italian flare, but without the spicy-ness. My husband loves it, and he is not a big fan of Italian food. I will be making this often!
