- 250 grams ground pork (chicken or turkey or soya)
- 1 spring onion (/ scallions chopped)
- 1 carrot (medium, peeled and finely chopped into matchstick width cubes.)
- 6 water chestnuts (finely chopped. ***Please try your best to get these as they really are wonderful in this dish!)
- 1 inch fresh ginger (peeled & finely chopped)
- 3 garlic cloves (peeled and finely chopped)
- 1 handful beansprouts
- 3 dried mushrooms (Chinese, soaked in hot water OR the same in ordinary mushrooms.)
- 1 handful vermicelli (Chinese Rice noodles for garnish., optional)
- 2 tsp. light soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. oyster sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar (or honey)
- 2 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp. chinese rice wine
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
