- 4 eggs (room temperature)
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp. pure vanilla extract
- 563 grams unsalted butter (softened and cut into cubes)
- 4 1/2 cups sugar (confectioners', icing, powdered, sifted)
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 tsp. peppermint extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 drops food colour (green, + a few drops of pink, or a drop of red food colour)
- crushed peppermint candy (for sprinkling over each layer of filling)
- sanding sugar (White, for outside of cake, optional)
