- 4 pieces bacon (sugar free, I like Pederson's Farms)
- 1 lb. pork sausage
- 1 box turkey sausage
- 1 onion (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3 cups sweet potatoes (diced, leave skins on or remove- up to you)
- 5 cups chicken broth
- 2 tsp. Italian seasoning (if you don't have this, do 1/2 tsp basil, 1/2 tsp rosemary, 1 tsp oregano)
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes (more or less to taste)
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- 3 cups kale (stems removed, coarsely chopped)
- 1 can coconut milk (We are only going to use the hardened part of coconut milk that rises to the top of the can. I like Native Forest brand.)
