- 13 oz. whole wheat pasta (I used rotini, but use your favorite or whatever you have on hand)
- 1 lb. italian chicken sausage (fresh, precooked smoked sausage can be used here too!, cut in 1 inch pieces)
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 onion (small, chopped)
- 10.5 oz. frozen broccoli florets
- 3/4 pkg. sundried tomatoes (julienned)
- 1/4 cup red wine (or chicken broth or even pasta water)
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil (for drizzling before serving)
- 1 pinch salt (and pepper to taste)
- red pepper flakes (optional)
- grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
