  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup self-rising flour (sifted)
  • 2 tablespoons custard powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup pecans (chopped, plus additional to decorate)
  • 1/2 cup light cream
  • 5 ounces white chocolate (chopped)

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease an 8-inch round cake pan. Line bottom with parchment paper.
    2. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer until pale. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla.
    3. Fold in flour and custard powder alternately with milk, until well combined. Lightly fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Spoon into prepared pan and smooth top.
