Okay, I admit. I was one of "those people." One of those people who change the recipe and then review it. I wanted to make cookies one late night. I scourged the fridge but didn't have butter. Coconut oil would have to do. I had Apple Cinnamon Toast Crunch instead of regular. I also halved the recipe.
SO...with all that in mind, the cookies didn't really spread at all. They were very puffy and took like 5-7 minutes longer than called for to bake. The flavor was nice, however. It totally could have been the changes I made that were their downfall (I've never baked with coconut oil).
