- 2 large eggs (separated)
- 1 3/4 cups cake flour (sifted)
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 large egg whites
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. coconut extract
- frosting (I did not have enough, to cover the outside of my cake and had to improvise, but I also added another entire cake to the interior, so I believe if you are making the white cake alone you will not have the same problem.)
