- 2 cups buckwheat groats (soaked, here’s why and cooked, hulled, here’s how)
- 1 1/2 cups blueberries (fresh or frozen, and thawed)
- 1 Tbsp. chia seeds
- 1/2 cup walnuts (toast them in the oven at 350F for 5-7 mins for extra flavor)
- 1/2 cup walnuts (soaked, soak overnight with your buckwheat)
- 1 cup coconut water (can use pure water)
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract (be sure to use gluten-free if you have a sensitivity)
- 1 pinch fine ground sea salt
- 3 dates (Medjool or Deglet Noor, pitted, here‘s how)
- 1 pinch canela (optional)
- 1 pinch cardamom (optional)
- berries (1. Adding other, like strawberries, blackberries and raspberries)
- toasted sunflower seeds (2. Add extra crunch with)
- banana (3. Add sliced)
- juice
- lemon zest
- cereal (5. This, is tasty cold as well)
