these are not like other waffles. They are dense and sweet. I would not make these again. These might make a good dessert, but not breakfast

This recipe did not work for me. When I was mixing the flour into the yolk/sugar/butter mixture, there was not enough liquid to turn the flour into a batter, so it was a very dry crumb. I knew this was headed south but I didn't know how to fix it, so I added the milk, which then became a soup of lumps. Instead of throwing it out, I let it set for 12 hours, and then I was able to mix the VERY THICK DENSE batter, but there was no way egg whites would be folded in, so I added more milk. I also added half again as much baking powder because I was afraid it would not rise. Then I added the frothy whites. In the waffle iron, there was no rising at all, and these cooked into dense waffle cookies, basically. The recipe needs to have more description about how the mixtures should behave/look at each phase so that it can be adjusted if necessary, since the very precise gram measurements (which I followed precisely) did not work. The only good thing is that the flavor was excellent, albeit sweet, like a dessert.

I made this vegan by using 2tblsp chia seeds to 3 tblsp water for eggs, tahini for butter and soy milk instead of whole milk. They were good! I will do this again!

Very good and very fluffy. My husband and kids loved them. I would definitely double up next time though lol they went quickly.

The flavor is delicious! Mine were also a bit doughy and heavy as well. But they tasted really good.
However, I'm thinking that these would be great to make with my little waffle iron, freeze them, and then take them out and pop them in the toaster on days when I don't have time to make them from the beginning.

Taste was very good but waffles turned out very dry even at different darkening levels.

Delicious! Made them this morning fluffy, but mine were still pretty dense. I followed the recipe (a smidge less sugar) and are them with blueberries and butter, and 2 were enough for me.

So delicious and sweet, fluffy! They smelled so good when cooking it filled the house. I got about 5 from this recipe. Saving this recipe to always use as my go to! Separating the eggs made a huge difference!

they were delicious! the batter was so light & fluffy and they just melt in your mouth! my kids loved em. i added chocolate chips for them 😉 i also got 10 from this recipe and it says it should make about 6. definitely worth mixing seperately! makes a noticable difference from how i normally make them.

Good...my son said they were doughy. Not sure if they are worth beating the egg whites separately and dirtying multiple bowls.

Not as fluffy as I’d like them to be, also maybe add a bit more sugar. Otherwise, a simple and tasty recipe.

This has the consistency of a liege. Very good. Need to be careful not to over mix the flour. Trying these with cake flour and Belgian ball sugar mixed into the mix.

Maybe I did something wrong nut these were the heaviest waffles ever not fond of the taste either more like bread

more dense than light and fluffy. I also thought it was weird it didn't call for vegetable oil and I think that's why the taste is off for me

Solid waffle recipe. I alternated mixing in the milk with the flour, in three rounds. Without the milk it was too dry to mix well. But good taste. Our toddler loves it.
