Yummy authentic Chinese taste, and the venison was not tough at all after bathing it in the bicarbonate of soda. I cooked the broccoli for a couple of minutes longer than stated just to make it a bit more tender to my liking. Also, I used fish sauce instead of oyster sauce because that’s what I had in the cupboard,plus a tablespoon of tamari as well, and no sugar because we’re eating low carb. For that reason, I thickened it with arrowroot instead of cornflour. I expect we’ll have this again some time.
