- 1/2 bell pepper (a large, seeded and finely chopped)
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil (for sautéing)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 lb. venison (ground, or your protein of choice)
- 1/2 petite diced tomatoes (a cup of, unseasoned, or two roma tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and diced)
- 1 tsp. cumin (ground)
- 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground cloves
- 1 tsp. oregano (preferably Mexican instead of Italian)
- 1/4 cup green olives (chopped)
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/2 tsp. salt (and black pepper, to taste)

The flavor was great. I added more garlic, turmeric powder and used fresh oregano. I also used canned tomato with basil, garlic and oregano (didn’t have plain), pinch of red pepper and some capers. Served with rice and ripe plantains.
Will use leftovers for stuffed peppers
