I love the Moosewood Cookbook black bean & walnut burgers, but they just don't hold together. These do - but the absence of walnuts makes them a distant second. I will try to blend the recipes on my next try and see what happens.

The black bean burger was delicious. I didn't have a jalapeno pepper so I used pickled jalapeno peppers. I also added 1/2 tsp of harissa spice blend, which added a nice kick and finaly added a few gluten free panko bread crumbs as it seemed a little to wet. Definitely a keeper better than any black bean burger I ever had.

Loved them! I will be making them again. ( If you put the beans in the oven for 15 minutes, they will dry out and your burger won't be as damp. )

Very flavorful. Loved it. The mix came out a big wet so I added some coconut flour

Very good. I had to add a cup of bread crumbs because my mixture was a bit too soft to mold into patty’s but they came out perfectly delicious.

Good. I added a bit more oats and omitted the jalapeno. Shaped the patties by pressing some of the mixture between sheets of wax paper.

Excellent vegetarian burger option! Easy to make and to cook. Good flavour. A bit crumbly, but I might not have let them sit enough after I took the out of the oven.
