I never follow a recipe and for this it is a good reason. TOO MUCH GARLIC.
I made a few substitutes, walnuts were replaced with macadamia nuts which was fried in a pan with Soy Sauce.
The recipe is a good starting point for any new vegan, you can actually do this entire recipe with 5 ingredients and add more as you feel more comfortable.
I would also use a little corn starch to thicken the mixture at the end and let it cool before rolling it into try Wellington.
