  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup safflower oil (expeller pressed, gasp! This is the first recipe on my site where I fry something in oil!)

    Liked the Seitan better than the Tempeh we liked the flavor very much I added some red pepper flakes I will say I wasn’t a huge fan of the cornstarch mix to toss the seitan or other in - it reminded me of ooblek had to add more water We really liked the sauce’s flavor. I added broccoli as a green

    The flavor was wonderful! The batter is quite thick and can really be used with anything I used this with my homemade seitan and will definitely make it again
