  • 2 serrano peppers (diced, see notes above for spiciness level)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • kosher salt (or sea salt to taste)
  • cracked black pepper (Freshly, to taste)
  • 1 cup red lentils
  • 2 cups low sodium vegetable broth
  • 14 ounces crushed tomatoes

    Wow ! This is turned out to be the best curry I think I’ve ever made ! I didn’t measure out spices I just added them to my taste and what I like so not all were the exact measurements, some were more and some were less. This turned out so yummy ! Will definitely be adding to my favourites. My partner loved it too, thank you!

    This was good and I would make again. Easy to make in that there isn’t much chopping (if your someone like me that chops a lot of ginger and peppers in advance and freezes them). The spices are strong and flavorful. Expect that it will come together more on day 2.

    Second time I made it and family is asking for this dish again. For a serving topping, chopped up an eggplant, tossed in olive oil and tossed with the same spices as the recipe - spread it out on a baking sheet and baked @400 for 15 minutes.
