- 1 Tbsp. miso paste
- 4 cloves garlic (smashed and minced)
- 1 cup cashews (soaked in hot water for 15 minutes)
- 3/4 cup chicken bouillon (prepared low sodium 'no, or vegetable stock)
- 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1/8 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 tsp. vegan Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 4 portobello mushrooms (large, stemmed and cleaned)
- 1 red onion (large, cut into 4, 1/4-inch thick slices)
- 4 whole grain hamburger buns (GF if desired)
- tomato (Optional: toppings of choice like lettuce, etc.)
