  • 2 tablespoons vegan margarine
  • 12 ounces mushrooms (sliced; try shiitake, oyster mushrooms, or portobello)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 1/4 cups unsweetened soy milk (or almond milk)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/2 lemon (about 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons if you don't have fresh lemons)
  • sea salt (or kosher salt, to taste)
  • cracked black pepper (Fresh, to taste)
  • 10 ounces cooked pasta (such as fettuccine or linguine, prepared according to package instructions)

    Awesome and wholesome, indeed. I followed this recipe directions strictly for my first batch, and though I often find it necessary to customize online recipes (albeit slightly) for the subsequent batches/attempts, this one will go just the way it is. Perfect!

    it’s easy! lemon juice add an extra tasty to the pasta, making it exceptionally delicious! i also add some nutritional yeast :)

    The sauce is really tasty and super easy and fast to do! plus i would add more vegetables according to its taste of course but its just so good and simple, loved it

    I made this with Ziti because it was all I had and didn’t want to make another trip. It was wonderful. Ziti holding that amazingly healthy sauce. Mmm.

    I didn't have parsley so I left that out, and I was iffy about the lemon juice, though I think next time I'll add it just to see what it tastes like. I did have to add cornstarch to the mix, which was fine. I also accidentally cooked too much pasta for the amount of sauce this makes. I think I'll also add a few more spices, like garlic powder and what not.

    Simple. Quick. Yummy. I added frozen mushroommix, into the pan with some oil. Sauce was with Soy Natuaral (but kinda sweet... so guess i didnt use the unsweetened). Added Ezekil, not wheat (doesnt rly matter.. just healthier, worked perfect). I did 250ml sauce, and ate it almost all up for myself (one man). Oh, and i used bottles lemon. In the end, adding the sauce to the spaghetti, the panfried shroommix on top of that, finnishing off with some red onions (chopped fine), and cheery tomatoes! IT WAS INSANE. Salt and lemon is important, especially if you have sweetened, or just natural soy. Else it becomes rather.. to fatty due to the margarine, and to sweet from the soy. =) You cant rly go wrong with this one.. have fun
