- 1 Tbsp. garlic (finely chopped)

- 1 Tbsp. corn flour (dissolved in 2 tbsp water)
- 2 tsp. chilli sauce
- 2 Tbsp. tomato sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp. soya sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 1/2 cups water (or vegetable stock)
- 1/2 tsp. crushed black pepper (freshly, or black pepper powder)
- salt (to taste)
- 1 tsp. sugar
- spring onion (some chopped, scallion greens for garnishing, optional)
