Amazing - this is our go-to birthday cake recipe for me and my kids - we love it (yes the buttercream is sweet). I’ve made repeatedly as both a cake and as cupcakes - delicious both ways

I found the buttercream way too sweet and the cake not very moist. This was my first attempt at a cake and it could have been me.

Great! Used a gluten free flour blend for gluten intolerant friend. Cake was topped with strawberry mascarpone frosting.
