  • 2 tablespoons butter (or margarine)
  • 1/4 cup onions (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 pound Velveeta (cut into 1/2-inch cubes)
  • 10 ounces frozen chopped broccoli (thawed, drained)
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

    Directions

    1. Melt butter in large saucepan on medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir 5 min. or until crisp-tender. Add flour; cook 1 min. or until bubbly, stirring constantly.
    2. Stir in milk. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 1 min.
    3. Add remaining ingredients; stir. Cook 5 to 8 min. or until VELVEETA is completely melted and soup is heated through, stirring occasionally.

    One of my favorite cold day go to recipe's. We always use a little chicken broth and shredded cheddar. Perfection

    I thought this recipe was satisfiying but i have a picky 6 yr old and for her to say she likes it says it all. because of her i would make it everyday, also i tripled it and it works out.
