- 3/4 tsp. coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp. Laxmi Cumin Powder (roasted)
- methi (large pinch, roasted, powder)
- 1 tamarind (medium lemon sized, extract the juice in 1 cup water)
- 1/2 Tbsp. jaggery (or sugar)
- salt (to taste)
- 1 tsp. besan (or chickpea flour or senagapindi mixed in 2 tbsps water, for thickening the stew)
- leaves (fresh coriander, for garnish)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp. cumin seed
- fenugreek seeds (pinch of, or menthulu or methi)
- 1 dried red chilies
- 12 water
