- 2 stalks lemongrass (use the pale part about 4 inches from the base)

- 1/2 inch galangal (long)
- 1 Tbsp. shrimp paste (Asian, belacan)
- 1 liter water
- 1/2 pineapple (a ripen, but not too over ripe, cut into 1.5 inch pieces)
- 250 mL coconut milk (thick)
- 12 prawns (large, with shell intact)
