    It baked faster than recipe said so I would start to watch it at total 50 min I also agree that its best served the day it’s baked I refrigerated it overnight It lost its crispy edge and was softer than the day it was baked, still delicious.

    Great! Tastes better a few hours afterwards or Even next day. We used a little less sugar and butter and a little more fluor- I think it is more balanced that way.

    It was really good but the bottom burned probably by baking the first 10 minutes on the oven floor. I will make again without baking on oven floor.

    The cake was moist and rich tasting with the caramelized crust and simple to make. I froze the leftovers, and it was still great when reheated in the microwave.

    This was delicious! But the bottom crust got overdone in my oven. I will reduce the time it sits on the oven floor by a few minutes next time. Otherwise an easy recipe with great results. Not overly sweet with a nice apple taste.

    I have made apple cake several times before and this is the best so far. i loved the slightly overbaked bottom with a carmelized flavour. I made some slight alternations, and reduced the sugar to half of the recioie, and found that the sweetness was just right for my taste. Also, I used mostly Granny Smith, and 1 gala bc i ran out of gs. I would imagine that it would taste even better topped with sliced almonds or candied walnuts or pecans, might try it next time.

    I liked it but I think it could have had less butter. I will try again with 1 spoon less butter
