It was a great base, but I added a touch of cider vinegar and brown sugar and a couple of additional spices. Also, I cooked it for much longer to meld the flavors and thicken it. I used about 3 gloves of garlic too. You're not supposed to be able to cook chili in 15 minutes, unless your chili is out of a can! ;-)
