- 12 biscuits (4-inch cream, recipe above, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes)
- 1 lb. bacon (sliced smoky, cut into 1-inch pieces)
- 2 yellow onions (diced)
- 5 celery stalks (diced, I omitted this ingredient - next time I would substitute green onions)
- 8 oz. white button mushrooms (brushed clean and sliced)
- 1/4 cup fresh flat leaf parsley (chopped)
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh sage (I omitted this ingredient)
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh thyme
- salt
- freshly ground pepper
- 5 cups chicken stock
