Very Tasty and Tender! We are Senior, my husband and I. When I buy meat I split, freeze ½ and cook the other fresh piece. I cooked the small ½ @1 lb. I browned it about 3 minutes in the Dutch oven, flipped it and to the oven. Set timer 10 minutes. After the 10, Temp was 116°. I put in the oven for 10 minutes more. That was a little too long. Althought it was so good. What would you suggest for that size piece of Tri Tip. Our Tri Tip was so very Juicy and Tender. Oh, so tasty. We almost finished it. I can not wait to make the other ½. Thank you!
THIS IS A MUST TO TRY......

Tenderness was very good. Flavor was good but needed salt. If you like your TriTip rare- medium rare, take it out at 125-130* or it will be more medium. Would do this recipe again using more flavorful rub

Sure was easy. I very generously used a Texas Roadhouse sirloin seasoning. Great flavor!
I also took out of the oven when the thick part of the steak was only 120, rather than 135. We prefer rare and even at that, the thin parts were a bit dry for us.

Fantastic!! Simple and DELICIOUS!!
I have tried a few oven directions and always turned out with a dried out tri tip! This recipe is a keeper!!
Thank you so much for sharing!

First meal on Yummly! My wife said “Taste like you got it from a restaurant” lol it was a great dinner! I added garlic powder to mine. Turned out great.
I served it with a side of baked butternut squash.

Delicious and easy. Nicely seasoned. I like to be able to taste beef so less seasoning like this is nice.

Absolutely perfect. I used my twelve inch cast iron pan. 2.7 pounds of Tri-Tip. I used a honey, lemon herb rub that I had in the cupboard. I cooked mine for forty minutes. Moist clear to the end cut. Rare in the middle, perfectly well done end cut.

Tri-tip turned out tough. Not a lot of flavor. Next time I would probably do a vinegar or red wine marinade and supplement with horseradish or a hollandaise on the side.

For such a simple recipe this was very good, my husband really liked it even though mine came out a little too well done, my fault not the recipe!

Not super moist, but I was working with a marinaded roast; will try again without marinading.

Normally bbq tri tips with the family in the back yard while enjoying the day. Didn't have any coals so went to yummly and found this. Oh my gosh, this was yummy!!!! Will be putting this in family book. Thanks
