- 6 corn tortillas
- 2 cups Mazola Corn Oil
- 3 cups salsa (chile verde)
- 2 tsp. Mazola Corn Oil
- 1 white onion (small, cut into thin strips)
- 3 eggs (plus 2 egg whites)
- 1/4 cup cotija (OR queso fresco OR feta cheese)
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- onion rings (for garnish, optional)

Directions
- Cut tortillas into 2 x 1/2-inch strips.
- Pour 2 cups oil into deep heavy skillet to a depth of 1/2-inch; heat over medium heat.
- Fry tortilla strips, a few at a time, turning until light brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
