- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 white onion
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 yellow bell pepper
- 1 orange bell pepper
- 6 mushrooms (mix of white & cremini mushrooms)
- 8 oz. water chestnuts
- 4 neutral oil (teasp)
- 12 romaine lettuce leaves (large, or lettuce of choice, washed and dried, see notes below)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 Tbsp. pure maple syrup (100%)
- 5 Tbsp. natural peanut butter (no added salt or sugar, crunchy or creamy)
- 1 corn starch (teasp)
- 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
- chili sauce (spicy, more or less to taste, such as Huy Fong Chili Sauce or Sriracha, optional)
