i love this recipe!!!! i do not use brown sugar. i also double the amount of chili powder and cummin and i add paprika and canned corn i also add red pepper flakes and pickeled Jalapeño juice as well as the peppers to for a little kick. great recipe!!!!!!!

Turned out great, skipped the jalapeños as kids don’t care for them and it still was super tasty!
