Made this exactly per recipe but added celery. The beef came out very dry. Five hours on high was way too long. The sauce was flavorless. This was edible but overall disappointing...would not make again.

I've always made mine pretty much the same way & it turns out delicious every time. Only change I make is about 20-30 mins before its done I add drained corn & sweet peas gently pushing them down into the liquid. Depending on how many I'm feeding & the size of the roast I'll add 1-2 cans of each. When my grandchildren spend the night & are asked what they want for supper & this even includes ANY take out of their choice, they've ALWAYS said "Nana's Pot Roast"...!! So I must be doing something right...lol. Tonight it's Nana's pot roast, sweet cornbread & a blueberry cobbler with a scoop or 2 of vanilla ice cream!! Is it supper time yet??
