- 1 liter 7 Up
- 1 liter evaporated milk
- 1 coconut water
- oil
- 10 lemongrass stalks (each cut in ½ and tied together in a bundle)
- 1/4 cup star anise (whole, then ground to a powder in a spice grinder)
- 1/4 cup bay leaf (powder)
- 5 cups garlic cloves (crushed)
- 4 1/2 lb. scallions (minced)
- 1 cup celery leaves (minced, TFD addition)
- 1 1/2 cups ginger paste (TFD addition)
- 10 plantains (peeled, half-cooked through boiling)
- 1/8 cup white peppercorns (coarsely cracked, TFD addition)
- 1/8 cup black peppercorns (coarsely cracked, TFD addition)
- 1/8 cup turmeric powder (TFD addition)
- 1 Tbsp. msg (Optional but recommended TFD addition)
