- 1 qt. lard (top-quality rendered pig, strongly preferred - if unavailable, use peanut oil)
- garlic butter
- 8 Tbsp. unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley (minced)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh oregano (minced)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh thyme (minced, flowers, optional but TFD really likes it)
- 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 8 garlic cloves (minced)
