- 24 oreos (I used these gluten free oreos)
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 5 egg yolks
- 1 whole egg
- 1/4 cup corn starch
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 cups milk (non dairy milk also works. I have used the coconut milk from the carton with great results.)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups chocolate chips (I used half milk chocolate and half semi-sweet, but any combo is fine)

- whipped cream (optional)
