- 1/2 tsp. cracked black pepper (freshly-)
- 30 oz. ricotta cheese (part-skim or whole milk)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly-)
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves (tightly-packed, roughly chopped)
- 1 egg
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella
- 15 no boil lasagna noodles (or however many needed to make three layers in your pan*)
