Nice recipe! It is a bit sweet with the amount of ketchup and brown sugar. You could just not use the brown sugar and still get delicious sloppy joe with a tinge of sweetness.

its good, we have made it couple of times when we dont have a can manwhich on hand. We leave out the hot sauce thought

Great. I made several substitutions and particular choices for brands of ingredients. Used 93% lean ground turkey instead of beef. Used additional olive oil instead of butter. I chopped a generous amount of roasted red peppers from a jar instead of green pepper —- poured in a bit of the juice. Left out red pepper flakes and hot sauce. Chose GF, no-high-fructose corn syrup, non-GMO 78 Tomato Ketchup and Annie’s Worcestershire Sauce. Doubled the recipe for multiple day feast.

It turned out amazing I didn’t have any Worcestershire sauce so I used soy sauce it was fantastic I will make it a lot more

I made this with all ingredients except the red pepper and hot sauce, and it turned out delicious. Great flavor and perfect consistency. Tastes like the sloppy joes my mom made when I was growing up!

This was good, but it needed more "sauce" even making it again with an extra amount of liquid it still seemed it could be a bit better. Good flavor though.

I usually end up "tinkering" with a recipe but did not with this one and it was fabulous. Kids even loved it. Perfect balance of sweet / sour. I'm afraid my other sloppy joe recipes just took a great big back seat to this one! Give it a go for sure!

excellent. i am sensitive to the balance of sweet and spice so i made micro adjustments at the end to my taste.

followed the recipe exactly except i didnt have any bell pepper. i found it to be a tiny bit sweeter than i would have liked. may use less sugar or no sugar next time. it was still delicious!!

Love this recipe. I always use ground venison and double the recipe because leftovers are always needed! i usually substitue tomato sauce for tomato paste because thats more what i keep on hand.

Really good. I used ground pork instead of ground beef and did not add the green peppers. I doubled the recipe for a party and it was a hit!

I used ground turkey instead of beef and this turned out AMAZING! My boyfriend and I loved it, will definitely be making this again. Love love love love love

No bell pepper for the kids but extra red pepper flake, they like it spicy. It was a hit, will repeat it.

I didn’t have chili powder, garlic cloves, or peppers so I used ground red pepper, garlic powder, and a little bit extra brown sugar. My kids loved it!!

This recipe is really good! I used ground mustard over yellow mustard and it turned out amazing! 10/10 will cook again!

Didn't have tomato paste so I subbed in some traditional ”sensitive recipe” prego (doubled the amount used). Also had to make my own Worcestershire sauce (took 15 min cause I had to find the ingredients).
Anyway, I had one before going out thinking is have another when I got home, but my husband and daughter are 5 between the two of them, so I think they were a hit.
