- 1 cup granulated sugar

This cake was SO GOOD! I made it gluten free, with an extra egg, and it still worked perfectly. I added milk to the frosting as well as butter, because it was too thick. The cake only cracked a little, and it was easy to fix with icing. Great recipe!
