it did come out fork tender and the taste wasn't bad. however, their was no juice/gravy so to speak off, i had to improvise to make it. at the time it should have been done there was only a watery broth with a layer of grease on the top. so i pulled the steaks out and covered them, reduced the liquid, then added cornstarch to make a gravy; it was okay but not worth making again.
only thing i changed was i used red wine vinegar instead of white and omitted bacon salt.
