  • 16 corn husks
  • 2 1/2 lb. masa (prepared, see recipe below)
  • 2 cups tamales (Maseca for, it’s important to use masa that is specifically marked for tamales)
  • 2 cups broth (lukewarm, from simmering the filling or water)
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 cup lard (or vegetable shortening)
