- 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup minced onion (very finely)
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. fresh ginger (grated, or 1 tbsp dried ginger)
- 1 clove garlic (minced or crushed)
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp. chopped cilantro (fresh, or parsley, or 2 tsp dried)
- salt
- pepper
- sauce (*Sweet & Sour)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- juice (from drained pineapple)
- 1/4 cup tamari soy sauce
- 1 fresh ginger (thumb sized knob, grated, or 1 TBSP dried ginger)
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp. Chinese 5 spice
- 1 Tbsp. sauce (Shiriacha)
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 red bell pepper (cored, seeded, and cut into bite sized chunks)
- 8 oz. pineapple chunks (drained, reserving juice.)
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch

Way too much ginger. I cut the amount for the meatballs in half and it still tasted predominantly of ginger. I also ended up adding about 1/3 cup of sugar to the sauce to make it a little sweet instead of just sour.
