  • 4 Tbsp. tomato ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. black strap molasses
  • 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. lime juice
  • 2 tsp. liquid smoke
  • 2 tsp. vegan Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. tamarind paste
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • coconut aminos
  • 1/2 tsp. salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder (each of mustard, ginger powder, onion powder)
  • 1 dash black pepper (cumin powder, and cayenne)
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch (or arrowroot starch if you want the sauce to thicken considerably when heated.)
  • raw sugar (Add a Tablespoon ground, if you like it sweeter.)
  • 3 yams (or Sweet Potatoes peeled and sliced)
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup mung bean sprouts
  • red onion (finely chopped)
  • fresh cilantro (finely chopped)
