- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 4 Tbsp. tomato ketchup
- 1 Tbsp. black strap molasses
- 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. lime juice
- 2 tsp. liquid smoke
- 2 tsp. vegan Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. tamarind paste
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- coconut aminos
- 1/2 tsp. salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder (each of mustard, ginger powder, onion powder)
- 1 dash black pepper (cumin powder, and cayenne)
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch (or arrowroot starch if you want the sauce to thicken considerably when heated.)
- raw sugar (Add a Tablespoon ground, if you like it sweeter.)
- 3 yams (or Sweet Potatoes peeled and sliced)
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 cup mung bean sprouts
- red onion (finely chopped)
- fresh cilantro (finely chopped)
