Made a version of these meatballs except without the cream and added leek and mushroom to the sauce. Then thickened it with some corn flour. It was sooooo good!

This is the second time I've used this recipe! I added fresh chopped rosemary and a hint of peppermint from my garden, and a little coriander. I would like to try adding mushrooms next time, too, as some of the other reviewers mentioned-- it would probably double down on the earthy tones of this dish. Very good, I'm glad this was the recipe I chose for my first go at Swedish meatballs.

Yummy! I only made the meatballs for a different recipe and I cooked them on a rack in the oven to let any grease drip off - they’re delicious!

I cheated and used a bag of frozen meatballs. I also switched out the beef broth for a mushroom stock I had on hand. It was super simple to make and very yummy! I look forward to making the actual meatballs soon.

too much gravy for the meatballs. i would do half ingredients on the gravy, or even make a small amount to pour over for looks. gravy was good to season, meatballs need maybe a little more fun involved (more nutmeg and allspice.) made 23 total, but maybe something smaller to ensure cooking thoroughly or less heat whilst browning. placed in oven to keep temperature. sour cream separated slightly when adding. may suggest go have sour cream at room temperature or put gravy base in the tub and slowly bring to higher temperature. added additional tbsp flour towards the end to give more basis to the gravy.

Very good! Added sauteed onions and mushrooms to the gravy and only used ground beef as that's all I had on hand. Served over rice. Will make again!

Made a few substitutions. Didn't have onion, used a pack of onion soup mix. Gravy was yummy! Will make again.
