Also three stars because the recipe is wrong, and because not having read the reviews in advance, I spent 20 minutes of my life stirring tablespoon by tablespoon until it reached two cups (I guess) as the other reviews said, by which time I’d already added an additional egg, so I had to double the recipe.

3 stars because the recipe is written wrong- needs 2 cups of flour, not two T of flour. I tried following the recipe as written and realized quickly that the wet mix i had was not going to be kneadable or make a pan cake. I read the other reviews and found that someone else had needed 2 CUPS of flour. SO i added more flour and found this to behave as expected, kneadable, able to make balls, to then make a cake. My husband and I both agree they are delicious.

Loved it! First time using this recipe but I’ve made them several times before using my grandmothers recipe. I often enjoy them with seasonal fresh fruit on top, particularly peaches, but also use dried fruit during the winter months, such as blueberries, cranberries, etc.
