I made these exactly how the directions said and they have great flavor. The serious downside was the texture. Neither my husband or myself could fathom putting more than 1 bite in our mouths and my husband asked me never to make these again. I tried making them again with 2% milk and sugar free chocolate chips and once again flavor was great, texture was awful. Really sad cause if the texture was good I could eat these all day.

I did everything EXACTLY like the recipe said...except I added strawberries. Bad choice or bad recipe?

I've made these a couple of times and it's good alone or as a base recipe to add nuts, raisins or choc chips for a bit of sweetness, if you like. It's a nice for low, or no, sugar snack. I find them rather chewy and spongy for a cookie, but some may prefer the soft texture
