- 1/2 cup strong coffee (hot or cold – leftover from breakfast is fine)
- 1/2 cup raisins (or dried cranberries, optional)
- 2 lb. ground beef (20/80% fat content)

- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 cup Israeli couscous
- 1/2 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 tsp. chopped onion (dried)
- 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/3 cup sauce (above, slightly cooled)
