    These are the real deal—meaning, these are true scones, not the wedged-shaped pieces of muffin or cake many pass off as scones (especially in the U.S.) These scones are flavorful, flaky and beautiful—with a slightly dry yet tender texture, exactly as a scone should be. I replaced the orange with lemon and served the scones with a small dollop of lemon curd. (Clotted or whipped cream would also be excellent.)

    These turned out great! had some doubts when I was making the dough, but it was all for naught. Would definitely make again
