Delicious. Used french bread as that’s what the grocer had. Everyone loved it!

It is super sweet, I would decrease the amount of sugar used with the egg and milk mixture next time. It was a hit though so I will make again! 😉

It was delicious!!! I didn’t modify it at all. I made it for a family brunch and everyone loved it!!

I used day old sourdough instead of challa. I also added orange zest & cinnamon to the egg wash, used almond milk & a 1/4 cup of stevia instead of sugar. For the cream cheese mixture, I used vanilla creme stevia, 1 tablespoon of stevia & a 1/4 cup of almond milk to make it thinner & more spreadable. I covered the dish it the last 20 minutes of baking to keep the top from drying out before it was baked through. Will definitely make this again!

Great recipe and it came out amazing. We substituted french bread for challah, I added a berry sauce of preserves and maple syrup to drizzle on top

This is really good. I will definitely be making this again. I used texas toast though I couldn’t find challah bread.

This turned out delicious! Next time I will add double the amount of cinnamon and vanilla (I already added them, just need to add more). I’m also interested in trying the same recipe with bananas instead of strawberries.

This came out super tasty! We did double the amount of cream cheese it called for and added cinnamon to the egg wash. The challah bread made the dish, so be sure to get a good loaf. We will making this again for sure. Thanks for the comments everyone, they help with minor adjustments.

The French toast was good, excellent texture and flavor! However it did take a while and I wish there was more flavor.

I love this breakfast idea! I've done something similar before but with the bread whole so this was a cool way to switch it up.
I went a bit rouge with the egg batter and used Pet Milk instead of whole milk which adds a nice flavor as well as cinnamon & nutmeg. I also used different bread but that's just a preference thing. I thought about using Hawaiian sliced bread but then wasn't sure if it might make it too sweet 🤔 Oh, I also used two packages of cream cheese. I think the recipe only calls for one.
It came out fantastic! Very fresh & tasty. I didn't even need syrup. Definitely recommend.
Side note: It's best when served fresh only. I tried to have a serving in the
evening of the same day & it was nowhere as good as earlier. Tasted horrible by then actually. Lol.

Really tasty, even the picky eaters in the house enjoyed this. It was a last minute decision so I had to substitute the bead. I used Pepperidge Farm Farmhouse Butter Bread and it worked well enough. I added cinnamon as suggested by another reviewer and doubled the vanilla. I also used Swerve Confectioners and reduced the granulated sugar to 1/4 C. A teaspoon of maple syrup or orange juice would probably work well too to add a touch of flavor. I will definitely be making this again for a weekend breakfast/brunch.

Turned out good but flavor was meh. Too much egg flavor with making it with challah.

One of my favorite new recipes! After making it the first time, I decided to double the cream cheese filling for extra goodness! So delicious!

Not a bad tasty little dessert but probably going to add more strawberries. Also hard to find challah or brioche without going to a bakery here which were all closed. I used the closest bread I could find.

Came out fantastic! I recommend adding cinnamon for some extra flavor. I added chocolate chips too because why not

The recipe was great and my family enjoy it! I used a bigger pan then recommended and baked it for 50 minutes. I’ll definitely make this again. Although next time I’ll make more cheesecake icing.

very easy to make. i had to use brioche bread that had chocolate chips in it and it came out perfect! tastes better when you let it cool down instead of eating it when it’s hot

I think I would add a little more flavoring...like cinnamon or more vanilla. I also would not layer it next time because the middle was too soggy.

The flavor was good. Not too sweet just sweet enough. For some reason it did not seem to cook all the way through. Not sure if it was because of the juice of the strawberries or if it really was that the casserole didn’t cook through. I cooked it for approximately one hour. Admittedly I allow the egg mixture to soak into the bread overnight. I also added fresh strawberries on the top
