- 1/3 cup vegetable stock
- 1 Tbsp. hoisin sauce (the original recipe called for 2 T, but hoisin sauce is high in sugar, so I reduced it and added a bit of soy sauce)
- 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. peanut oil (or vegetable oil, recipe called for 2 T but I have a nonstick wok, so I cut it down)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger root (minced)
- salt
- pepper
